The Evergreen Speedway is located on the Evergreen State Fairgrounds in Monroe, Washington, and its stadium can hold over seven thousand fans. This loop, originally an unpaved horse track, is the only sanctioned NASCAR course in Washington State. In the 1960s the track was paved as requested by Jimmie Collier, and the bleachers were updated to the current grandstands in their place.

Gates will open to the public on Saturday (August 5th) at 12 noon. There will be dozens of vendors and booths lining the outside of the track, with two main lots filled with unique and stanced vehicles for the viewing! Take a picture with any of the many brand ambassadors standing by their booths or grab a snack and icee inside the stadium before the races begin. The live stream begins its broadcast at 3 pm, just fifteen minutes prior to the Qualifying rounds for all drivers.

The smell of burning rubber and the resonating sound of engines firing and misfiring will fill the stadium. The crowd will roar as drivers move dangerously close to one another – a chaotic dance of sorts. They will drift, screech and spin their ways to the finish line. The crowd will wait anxiously for the judges in the box behind the grandstands to tally up points and announce a winner from each round. Last year Fredric Aasbo took first place – 7:30pm on Sunday the Closing ceremonies will begin and this year’s winner will be announced.

Kick the last month of summer off right by drifting into August with an event that will inspire and excite you.  Don’t forget to stop by KushMart South Everett on the way to boost your experience. For tickets, visit the DRIFT website here.
